| TIFFANY STONE (BERTRANDITE) |
| 'Tiffany Stone' originates from the Brush Wellman Beryllium mine near Delta, Utah. It started forming over 200 million years ago as volcanic fine ash and over time hot gases from the volcanoes, infused with Beryllium, Manganese and Fluorine, combined with the silica rich ash under heat and pressure to form this type of predominantly 'opalised Fluorite'. Water also played a large part in it's formation. It also contains Quartz/Chalcedony, Dolomite and Rhodonite. It is apparently named after a miners' daughter. |
| Tiffany Stone is now extremely rare, since collecting is no longer allowed. |
